" GRATEFUL FOR THIS LIFE "

" GRATEFUL FOR THIS LIFE "

"Traveling messes you up, but in all good ways. It leaves you always craving more an addiction that can never quite be met. Every place, every trip, every person is a new adventure pulling you deeper into the love of wanderlust. Your heart begins to hurt when you're standing still, and your mind begins to itch over the idea of new places you haven't been. Fill your soul with adventure and travelling and you will live a fulfilled life."

A photo of this was taken a years ago with my family, when we travel on bacolod and sipaway islands this picture was so memorable to me because it was so fun and enjoyable having with my family on this. It was really pleasure and grateful for this bond especially with this, having a family its so lucky because they make me happy all the time, taking me somewhere that I never go before, learning new things, and mostly exploring new surroundings that made me go excited and can’t wait to go

there , and sharing these moments of family trip is a fun idea of being united and having fun together it is exemplified through these informal pictures about a family.

CLIMATE CHANGE: STILL THE GREATEST CRISIS OUR WORLD IS FACING

CLIMATE CHANGE: STILL THE GREATEST CRISIS OUR WORLD IS FACING

This past year was, in essence, in a statistical tie with 2016 for the hottest on record, with temperatures driven upward by the warming effects of human activities that spew carbon and other greenhouse compounds into the atmosphere.

Some climate scientists argue, that the 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 2005 — including each of the last seven years — suggesting a steady pace upward that could push the average global temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels within the decade. That, notably, is the level at which scientists believe nature will deliver even more dire consequences than what we’re already experiencing.

So what is the world doing about this? Hardly much of anything at levels sufficient to address the problem. If we don't do anything about it now then when? This has been a long time concern even before I was born but it seems no one has really put stress on this crisis.

VOLLEYBALL STAR DEANNA WONG LIFTS CHOCO MUCHO TO GAME 1 WIN!!!

VOLLEYBALL STAR DEANNA WONG LIFTS CHOCO MUCHO TO GAME 1 WIN!!!

Choco Mucho is on the verge of its first podium finish since entering the Premier Volleyball League in 2019.

The Flying Titans left no stones unturned in the Game One of the bronze medal match, dispatching the Cignal HD Spikers in four sets, 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
Still, despite the victory, Choco Mucho star Deanna Wong stressed that the job remains unfinished for the Flying Titans.

“Masaya, pero hindi pa tapos yung trabaho namin. So there’s still one more game and we want to get it,” said Wong after the match.

If Choco Mucho bags bronze on Friday, this will be the team’s highest finish in the league.
The Flying Titans settled for a seventh-place finish in their debut back in the 2019 PVL Open Conference.
The team had the chance to enter the finals in the 2021 Open Conference in the Ilocos Norte bubble. However, it fell to eventual champions Chery Tiggo. Choco Mucho then lost the battle for third series against Petro Gazz, which relegated them to fourth place.

Mapot Base Camp in Canlaon City Negros Oriental

This photo was taken from Mapot Base Camp in Canlaon City Negros Oriental.  It was so memorable when me and my family was planning to hike. We hike this mountain for almost 2hrs since its near from Bulkan Canlaon. We stayed overnight and enjoy the best weather since its my first time staying in the foggy place. Hiking was one of my favorite hobby , because It is one of the thing that makes me feel better.

Mapot Base Camp is a perfect place for the people who enjoy the nature. We are not just climbing this mountain for the view but we also planting trees for the better of our Mother Nature.
Your effort is worth it when you climb this mountain.

BECAUSE OF YOU

BECAUSE OF YOU

Online selling comes up on my mind when the pandemic came and gave a great deluge. My partner I planning to invest in a small amount just to be busy with a purpose. This online selling is one of the hardest business for us since we need to take the risk on the items that we choose to sell.
This photo was taken when were preparing the items to sell . We measure the jeans and put a code on it. This kind of business was so hard because you’ll never know if you run out of stocks or not all you need to do is give patience and keep trying . Online selling taught me to be independent in life, it gives me an opportunity to help my family on their daily needs. Though sometimes our sales is weak but still I’m thankful for our daily income.

Just Like the Movies

As to have what a banner says on a protest, all disaster movies start with a scientist being ignored. Movies like 2012, Don't Look Up, Deep Impact, Armageddon, etc portrays that the government there only acts when the disaster is near or when they only realize it once they can feel its destructive outcomes to humanity. Scientists have already done their part in voicing out about the upcoming disaster but the people probably just heard about it, not acting on it. Are we gonna end up like those in the movies?

Scientists from different parts of the world have joined hands to hold protests last April 6, 2022, that calls for climate revolution after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has reported that we only have 3-5 years to look for ways to save Earth from catastrophic disaster. Participating scientists were from Spain, Germany, and Washington, D.C as part of the Scientist Rebellion. They were calling for immediate efforts to stop the usage of non-renewable sources of energy which are fossil fuels, coal, oil, and natural gases. This type of energy emits a massive quantity of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into our atmosphere making our planet warmer than the usual temperature which results in the rising of seawater levels. However, the desperation of scientists was mauled over by the government. They were arrested like they did something wrong.

The government and corporations should start listening to the cries of the educated and should set aside their capitalistic objectives. They have the power to make significant sustainable efforts to resolve this global issue in three to five years. I understand that you are trying to be as eco-friendly as possible. People trying to use Ecosia to help plant trees, delete emails to decrease the carbon footprint, save water, and other sustainable actions that an ordinary citizen is good however, no matter how eco-friendly you are, your efforts are just mere efforts. It is just a single grain of dust compared to all the sands of Earth. I apologize but this is the truth. Unless we have a full change in our system, we can have an observable change to ease climate change immediately.

"Public disobedience" hearsay. In my opinion, it is not. What the scientists did was a call of desperation to save our only planet. Chaining themselves in public spaces as part of protests is not a crime, ignoring their calls is.  Declare climate emergency now.

            Editorial related the climate change

Climate change is happening now. Evidences being seen support the fact that the change cannot simply be explained by natural variation. The most recent scientific assessments have confirmed that this warming of the climate system since the mid-20th century is most likely to be due to human activities; and thus, is due to the observed increase in greenhouse gas concentrations from human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and land use change. Current warming has increasingly posed quite considerable challenges to man and the environment, and will continue to do so in the future. Presently, some autonomous adaptation is taking place, but we need to consider a more pro-active adaptation planning in order to ensure sustainable development.

What does it take to ensure that adaptation planning has a scientific basis? Firstly, we need to be able to investigate the potential consequences of anthropogenic or human induced climate change and to do this, a plausible future climate based on a reliable and accurate baseline (or present) climate must be constructed. This is what climate scientists call a climate change scenario. It is a projection of the response of the climate system to future emissions or concentrations of greenhouse gases and aerosols, and is simulated using climate models. Essentially, it describes possible future changes in climate variables (such as temperatures, rainfall, storminess, winds, etc.) based on baseline climatic conditions.

The climate change scenarios outputs (projections) are an important step forward in improving our understanding of our complex climate, particularly in the future. These show how our local climate could change dramatically should the global community fail to act towards effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Carina Dayondon: The First Filipina Who Completed the World's Seven Summit

On December 16, 2018, Carina Dayondon had a successful ascent to Vinson Massif, Antarctica, and became the first Filipina to complete the World's Seven Summits.

Vinson Massif, which rose 16,050 feet (4,892 meters) above sea level, was the tallest peak on the Antarctic continent and became Dayondon's last stop in completing the most challenging feat of a mountaineer.

She was also one of the first women to climb Mt. Everest via traverse hike -  they climb across one route and came down by another. Along with her team, they started ascent on Tibet, China and descended through Nepal.

Below is the timeline for Dayondon's journey to world's seven summit:

2006 – Denali (6190m), North America

Adventure in Toreno

As part of our experienced with my workmates before in LDR company, our manager did look for a place where we held our Christmas party. We know that during December most of places or resort are fully booked due to some events, so our manager decided to visit Toreno he went there to informed and asked for reservation, it was such a nice place to hang out, a place for team building, relaxation and family bonding. The resort is located in Sitio Bunga , Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto.

It is almost 2 to 3 hours traveling from San Carlos City Negros Occidental to Don Salvador Benedicto, when entering the resort you can see beautiful statues that attracts our vision and a statue that greets all visitors Buena's Dias. We have our exchanging gifts there after lunch and we enjoyed singing karaoke and at the same time swimming. It was unexpectedly happened that our manager wanted us to stay there until 9 am in the morning to enjoy our party. I texted my parents first for the awareness, later that night we took some games like local games and then after we took some rest, we sleep in the cottage because the rooms are reserved it was a very cold night but that was my greatest and amazing travel  so far. It was the best and memorable ever.

Lee Gralto's Hidden Paradise Resort: A paradise found

Lee Gralto's Hidden Paradise Resort: A paradise found

Sipaway Island is undeniably one of the best tourists destinations in my hometown, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. It is just a 15-minute boat ride away from the city and the fare is very cheap costing only twenty pesos per person. People in our city goes to the Island for a quick vacation or simply for a quick dive to it's clear crystal waters which will definitely wash away all the tiredness and stress of hustling during the weekdays. I personally visit the Island almost every weekend for I am a huge fan of free diving. I always thought that I've already visited all the beautiful beaches and resorts in this Island but little did I know that there is this one resort that lies at the back part of the Island which is seldom visited due to it's far location and very limited access. You can only reach it by boat if it's high tide. If it's low tide you will have to ride a tricycle from the Island's port called "Dapdap" to Lee Gralta's Hidden Paradise Resort which may take up to 15-20 minutes.

Although it is farther compared to other resorts in the Island, all the hassle and expense will be worth it once you see the beauty of the place. It is indeed a hidden paradise. The owner of the resort, Madam Lee Gralto, is a huge fan of martial arts. As a matter of fact she is a black belter and has a huge passion in teaching children who lives in the Island martial arts for free.

The place is huge and it is surrounded with colorful flowers. Imagine waking up to the same scenery every day. I am jealous of the people who lives here. They are so lucky to have this place to enjoy for the rest of their lives.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You can choose from single to family sized rooms, fan or airconditioned they definitely have it all! Their staffs are very accommodating and welcoming, you will surely feel at home. What I love the most about the place is you can bring your pets with you. I'm a dog person, I treat my dogs like family so whenever I go to a vacation I always make sure no one gets left behind and thankfully, the resort allows you to bring your pets no matter how small or big they are!

Oh how I wish I could stay here forever! This is a vacation place I surely recommend. If you are from San Carlos or anywhere in the Philippines, add this place to your bucket list and I assure you, you will never regret such an awesome experience!

                                        Vito Churh

Vito Church It is believed that the church grant prayers and wishes.I can't tell how true it is but anyone I know who speaks about Vito Church say the same thing. Most people I know simply call it "Vito Church" where the miraculous icon of St. Vincent Ferrer is enshrined. And so it is formally known as San Vicente Ferrer Church.  Located in Sagay City, province of Negros Occidental. Devotees flock the church every Friday and it is very crowded especially on a First Friday mass. Last weak when we visit  in Vito church you enjoy to see the Statio, may people go there,to attend mass and it is memorable to me when we go there you excel your problem through prayer.

Where Thy Heart is Alive and Free

Adventures weren't just a mere event for me; it is vital like how a creature needs the sun, like how a baby needs its mother, and like how we need to breathe to stay alive. For a town girl like me, who lived for adventures, who want to experience different kinds of fun, and who dreamt of utopia in this big gloomy world, every little adventures count, and even if I live in a secluded part of the country, adventures were everywhere if you walk in the shoes of a wanderer.

I was only 16 when I realized that I don't want to live in boredom. I want something fresh and real; I want something freeing. Things that make your heart beats so fast because of that restlessness before the adventure begins wherein anxiety and anticipation are tangled together. This is all because I have read a short story called "Something Spectacular". The story doesn't really talk about travels but the desire of a person to be brave in chasing one's dream and to be free from the harsh chains of reality. So I decided to chase mine too after reading that story.

I was 19 when I started going out with my friends. When I say out, I meant out of the city. My parents allowed me to experience the beautiful things of the world. So when I was 20, I already had collective memories to share in this travelogue. I already experienced my first overnight at a friend's house, my first camping in the woods at Punao Riverside, my first early morning sneaking out to watch the sunrise in Calatrava, my first sunrise and sunset at a beach overnight on Sipaway Island, my first bonfire, my first coral watching at Vallehermoso, my first journey to a falls at Alinsyawan Falls, my first out of town getaway in Don Salvador Benedicto, my ever recent first minor hike and tree planting activity at The Hobbit in Talisay City, and many more!
I would like to add more experiences in the future because I know this is what kept my heart alive and free. From mountains, cities, forests, beaches, sunrise, sunsets, and starry skies, and even the simplest sight of a foggy meadow, I want all of them to define me. I don't like to waste my days sitting in front of papers and inks instead I want to chase dreams and run for adventures until I run out of energy. I got to have to do this we never know what the future holds. We might die today or tomorrow so we might as well do everything that we can do while we are still here.
All adventure begins with being brave. I am becoming one, how about you?
